Matthew Galsky, MD
bio
Dr. Galsky is the Director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology at the Tisch Cancer Institute and Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He earned his MD at Tufts School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, and completed medical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he subsequently joined the faculty. His research interests include the development of novel treatment strategies for patients with bladder and prostate cancer as well as the development of innovative approaches to clinical trial conduct. He has completed among the first efforts to "crowd source" the design of a cancer clinical trial as well as among the first interventional cancer clinical trials incorporating telemedicine follow-up visits to minimize the burden of patient participation.
