PowerUp – Connecting Communities to Energy Innovation Opportunities
Innovation is key to solving problems and creating opportunities. To support it, Minnesota’s energy and climate innovators need easier access to resources and pathways that help them develop their ideas. By supporting innovators though the PowerUp program, we demonstrate our state’s commitment to support innovation while increasing ability to address climate and energy challenges.
Grid Catalyst and Clean Energy Economy Minnesota have formed a team of community partners to develop the PowerUp program to support our communities’ innovators by (1) collaborating with vital partners in education, workforce pathways, community development, energy entrepreneurship and business development; (2) coaching and mentoring participants and (3) providing resources needed to develop ideas and solve problems locally; and (4) building visibility and momentum for community innovators.
Our approach will empower communities to have more influence, authority, and opportunity in the transformation of our energy system.
