Ten teams were just named winners of Phase 2: Prepare! of the competition. Each team was selected to receive $150,000 in cash and up to $100,000 in technical assistance from a U.S. Department of Energy national lab to advance each project’s benefits and impact.   

The following teams successfully refined their projects during Phase 2 and activated a network of partners and mentors to support their innovations:

  • Lifecycle Building Center (Atlanta, Georgia)
  • Llink Technologies, LLC (Brown City, Michigan)
  • r.World (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
  • RESOLVE Inc. (Washington, D.C.)
  • Revise Robotics (East Windsor, New Jersey)
  • Alameda County Waste Management (Oakland, California) 
  • Smartville, Inc. (Carlsbad, California)

In Phase 3 of the competition, teams must demonstrate substantial progress toward implementing their innovation in a viable Re-X supply chain that will continue beyond the prize period. Phase 3 submissions are due at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 8, 2025.
