Bifacial Value Standards

The industry is trending toward the use of bifacial cells and modules but there have been no formal industry wide protocols and standards.

Protocols should first be developed by a accredited test laboratory and field tests should be performed to quantify the value so that companies who sell and install these products can better predict the actual energy that will be produced from these systems. Investors need to have these new technologies "de-risked" so the markets will realize the increased value of this relatively new use of PV. I would like to see industry wide manufacturing and performance testing and standards that will accelerate the use of bifacial technology.
