Jeanne Bergman is a climate activist and policy analyst with a background in cultural anthropology and HIV/AIDS policy and advocacy on the city, state, federal, and international levels. In 2013, she shifted her focus to the climate crisis, working in wildlife and forest conservation. She managed the Solarize NYC program, bringing discounted rooftop solar to low-income communities of color in NYC. Obsessed with the transformative power of electricity, she tracks policy changes that affect renewable energy in New York and nationally, and supports the emergent business entity of Calculate Green. Jeanne has a PhD in cultural anthropology from UC Berkeley and an MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia.
