Growing up in Englewood, NJ and attending high school at the Heschel School in Manhattan, Max Goldberg is a fourth-year Materials Science and Engineering major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Max is motivated by the disruptive combination of engineering, entrepreneurship, and the ability to tell compelling stories about tangible, pragmatic technologies and their implications.
Max is captivated by the infinite amount of untapped resources mankind has the technological capabilities and creativity to utilize, and in turn, improve the standard of living for all. Max’s long-term mission is to open up this next imminent frontier of exploration for societal wealth through space-faring and resource utilization. Specifically, he is passionate about finding ways to utilize resources on other planets in order to create functional electronic, consumable, and structural materials to support mankind’s colonization and exploration of the solar system.
Max’s desire to partake in the new-age of space exploration stems from his innate curiosity and chutzpah coupled with a need to contribute and enhance the base level of happiness, freedom, fulfillment, creativity, and wealth available for every person to enjoy.
Previously, Max spent two years as Battery Lead on the University of Wisconsin’s award-winning Badgerloop team. Outside of Space, Max is the Founder of Next Frontier – a digital media & event company, with two goals: (1) to facilitate relationship building for young entrepreneurs (2) to raise awareness of the abundance of opportunities & resources available to help young entrepreneurs carry out their vision.
As a Muay Thai fanatic and former fighter, Max spends his breaks and free time training, learning martial arts, and obsessing over fitness, nutrition, and wellness.
