Shirleen Chin
Legal Officer at Institute for Environmental Security
The Hague, Provincie Zuid-Holland, Netherlands
bio
An environmentalist at heart with "brainstormable" capacity. She likes a good challenge and since Shirleen has been a long-time advocate of the use of remote-sensing technology in monitoring environmental/nature-related compliance, one would say "Why not innovate!". In this contest, I've introduced a way for us to easily identify arable areas within a city for gardening. Urban farming has existed for some time but remains underutilised. In a world that is affected by climate change, we should use what we have to sustain ourselves. Our food becomes fresher, our communal values are retained and our space can be turned into an urban oasis. Again, I say, "Why not?!". PLEASE VOTE for "THE-i for Urban Sustenance: Seeing the Potential for Sustainability"!!! THANKS!
