Morris Model Partnership team

The Morris Model is a partnership between the city of Morris, UMN Morris, UMN West Central Research and Outreach Center, Stevens County, and the Morris Area School District. The partnership has 5 big themes including Energy Conservation, Clean Energy, Community Resilience, Cultural Exchange, and Celebration. We also have 3 big goals too; Producing 80% of the energy we consume locally, reducing energy consumption by 30%, and ending landfilling within the county by 2025. Our goal is to create a Model Sustainable Rural Community that can be replicated by other rural communities in MN and the across the upper midwest.
