The Electric Island Vikings are a team of educators and environmentalists that came together to bring two needed structures to Vinalhaven Island. The first structure is an electric bus that will provide transportation to all Vinalhaven students. In addition, this same team is starting to plan for the implementation of four solar panels on a flat roof so that within in the next four years, the new electric school bus can rely primarily upon solar energy. A win for the students, a win for the community and a win for the Vinalhaven environment!
