Hawai'i Innovation Laboratory (HIL) has developed a room temperature liquid-metal thin-film deposition technique for low-cost CSP polymeric mirror film reducing CAPEX by 80% and film cost by 50%. HIL's polymeric mirror film has higher reflectivity than Al and a little lower than a silvered mirror. However, the cost of the film is 50% lower. HIL has partnered with the Gossamer Space Frames and Natural Energy Laboratory Hawai'i Authority (NELHA) to manufacture and pilot test the mirror film at the Keahole CSP plant, Kona, HI. Please get in touch with us for queries, suggestions, or if you like to pre-order mirror film for your project.
