Sophie is going to the hospital with her parents. It makes her uncomfortable, but she knows it's necessary to go there to be cured for her disease.
When they all check in at the usual waiting area, she is surprised. Right there at the screen on the desk her name pops up! "Sophie and the 7 seas" The receptionist tells her that this is her personal game that she can play whenever she visits and hands her the tablet. Sophie is curious and starts tapping right away.
Hmm.. First she can pick whatever avatar she wants. A pirate, a princess, a knight, a sorceress. It's all up to her. She will be the captain of her ship and the goal is to gather as many different crew members (characters) and treasures for her ship as possible.
The idea is that every time Sophie visits the hospital, she will be able to unlock a new chapter of the game. Each chapter includes the possibility to win new funny crew members and discover nice treasures. Along with each new chapter, a great story also unfolds.
Sophie puts down the tablet, she enjoyed her first experience with the 7 seas. She is a little distressed that the chapter was already over, but knows that the game will be there for her next visit. Before she knows it, it's time for he consultation. Her parents and her speak with the doctor, and she listens, but in the back of her head, she can't help but wonder what treasures she is yet to discover.
Sophie is looking forward to go the hospital next time.
The idea is implemented with tablets at the receptions and a game studio making the game. The success will depend on the work quality of the game studio, but there are many skilled studios in Denmark and especially in the Copenhagen area. An inspiration can be the popular Pokemon Go game, but in another universe and digested in bites of a larger story.
A possible addition that could make the children in an even better mood, is a teddy resembling the avatar they picked in the game. There could be somewhere around 6 different variants here.
