The Problem

"This is the greatest story in the history of Facebook."

Michael McClure -- Inman News 'Top 50 Most Influential People'.

The aim of this compassionate, philanthropic challenge is to find a film production team that will ultimately produce a 70-90 minute, 'feel good', 'change the world' potentially award-winning documentary of 11 yr old Capri Everitt & the Everitt family's journey "Around the World in 80 Anthems" for orphaned/abandoned/abused children.  The winning team will forever be included in the post-80 Anthems 'brand' as partners as well, including future projects .  The documentary will be made after the Challenge prize is awarded.

During a 9 month period from November 2015 to August 28, 2016, they have travelled to 80 countries while their 11 year old daughter, Capri, sings the national anthem of each country in the national language (41 in total) to raise money for orphaned and abandoned children worldwide. The majority of anthems have been sung with children. Please see their website at www.80Anthems.com for more information.

It is extremely important to note absolutely NO donations were used as expenses for this journey. ALL travel costs were raised by the Everitts personally & through their own sponsorships. ALL donations go directly to SOS Children's Villages online.

There has been a frenzied global media presence throughout the entire journey. This immediately gives any film about this journey a huge, international audience ready to watch.   80 Anthems was featured on the #1 TV stations in Israel, South Africa, Philippines, Indonesia, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Luxenbourg, Bulgaria, etc... As a quick example, their Philippines story generated 1.5 million views in 24 hours on Facebook (with over 17k SHARES!): https://youtu.be/0FjidY2-7ds and the South Africa story received huge ratings, inc. shots with Nelson Mandela clips. https://youtu.be/dPd_XYeoi-A.  Also, the picture featured on this web page was from the FRONT page of the Pretoria News in South Africa.  They also connected with Embassies, politicians, leaders & entertainers across the globe.

This incredible story will culminate with Capri Everitt singing in Washington DC Aug. 12, 2016, in front of 40,000 people at a Washington Nationals MLB game. Her final performance will be in her home country of Canada at a Toronto Blue Jays MLB game in Toronto Aug. 26th.  Both of these spectacular moments will no doubtedly ensure a picture perfect, fairytale story ending to one of the most unique, incredible family adventures ever undertaken. All of the videos completed so far are accessible on their website,  Youtube channel and Bowen's Blog.

MOST importantly, and this cannot be understated, Capri has now sang with thousands of beautiful orphaned/abandoned/abused children around the world, raised tens of thousands of dollars and still has 15 countries to go. The various videos of these events and others is so incredibly moving, She eventually wants to raise $1 million in total for SOS Children's Villages International and continue for the foreseeable future.

The Everitts are not documentary film makers. But they have an incredible, extremely well documented story to tell.  Most importantly, they already have a PROVEN audience. They hope documentary filmmakers can appreciate this kind of global audience and appeal. The hard part of creating thousands of photos, hundreds of videos and vast amounts of professionally filmed global media coverage has been done. Now we need to put the puzzle together for the rest of the world to see.

Aug. 6, 2016, 1:43 a.m. PDT by 80 Anthems

Hello 80 Anthems Challenge Participants,

We are simply thrilled that you have decided to join our 'Around The World In 80 Anthems' documentary challenge.

With 3 weeks left to complete your submission by Sunday, August 28, we are reaching out to answer any questions you might have regarding the competition and your entry.

We just left the Guinness Book of World Records head offices in London, England where we have been told they are working on Capri to be the first recipient of the world record for 'Most Anthems Sung in their Host Country in 1 year'.  This is the very first time this record has been created. Guinness is very excited and we will receive tremendous media support from this!  Our philanthropic challenge will be sure to receive more attention so welcome and enjoy the fun!

We are currently in Oxford, England, having just finished a BBC Leeds radio interview. We would be happy to chat with you about your idea and provide feedback to polish the entry prior to the deadline. If you are looking for input from the HeroX community or other sources, 80 Anthems can also try to facilitate a timely meeting. If you think you need more videos, pics or media, please let us know ASAP. We are here to help.

We encourage you to remain focused and implement great ideas. Again, please feel free to contact us on these and any other 'Around The World In 80 Anthems' questions you might have. We can't wait to see your submissions. The possibilities are endless and our worldwide support continues! Have a lovely week everyone!

Sincerely,

Tom, Kerrie, Bowen and Capri Everitt xoxo
