Abstract: Online Survey
Description: The purpose of this research study is to learn about who is and is not participating in open innovation competitions, and why. This is a research study conducted by Professor Karim Lakhani at Harvard Business School. As part of this study, you will be asked to complete a survey about your experience in open innovation. You will be asked questions about your background and your motivations to participate or not participate in open innovation competitions. Every effort will be made to keep your data confidential. There may be a risk of breach of confidentiality, but we plan to mitigate this risk with strict data storage standards with data only accessible to the research team.
25 people will receive a $5 Amazon gift card and $25 people will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. 25 others who complete the whole survey will receive stickers from NASA and the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard Business School. If you are eligible and agree to participate in this study, you will be invited to enter a raffle. To enter the raffle, you will need to provide your email. If you complete the screener, you can enter a raffle to win a $5 Amazon gift card. If you are eligible and complete the whole survey, you can enter a raffle where 1st place winners will receive a $25 Amazon gift card, and 2nd place winners will win NASA and Laboratory for Innovation Science stickers. Your odds of winning a $5 gift card, $25 gift card, or stickers are approximately 5%. The researchers will contact gift card winners via email and send the gift card via email. If you win stickers, the researchers will contact you via email to request your address for prize distribution. Your address will be destroyed after prizes are distributed.
