Upon learning about the compromised section of shielding, the astronaut uses their wrist communicator to request a replacement part and toolbox from the astronaut inside the base. Once the proper equipment has been placed in the airlock by the astronauts still in the base, the exterior astronaut will retrieve them. They then climb atop the base, remove the old shielding, and replace it using their multitool. After the installation, the astronaut double checks the radiation levels and awaits the okay from those inside the base to confirm completion of the task.
