NIOSH has selected the following winners to share in the $110,000 Phase 1 Prize Purse of the Counterfeit N95 Challenge.
The winners are:
Ethos- Authentication Standards for NIOSH Registry by Aegle - Provenio
- The solution builds and expands upon a proven-effective, easy-to-use anticounterfeit technology as a NIOSH- approved N95 manufacturer.
Verisku - Leigh Brand's team
- The Certified Equipment List (CEL) is integrated with cloud-based Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning software to eliminate counterfeit N95 products.
Digital Title by Team Digital Title
- A decentralized, distributed title recording system is created to improve information transparency and build trust between consumers and IP owners.
N95 FFR Validation App and Website by Essayon Engineering
- An N95 FFR certification phone app for the general public is developed, and coupled with a clinical and supply chain community website.
These four teams will now be invited to participate in Phase 2 where they will build out their initial proposals into a proof-of-concept and explore what would be required for their concept to scale upwards.
