Nittany Solar

Solar + storage is an increasingly important component of America’s energy future. With the solar market expected to triple by 2028, it is vital that solar professionals acquire the requisite skills to design efficient solar systems that meet the needs of their clients/customers. With a customer-centric approach, our goal for participating in the Solar District Cup collegiate competition is to design a solar + storage system, tailoring our designs to meet specific customer needs, considering their energy requirements, preferences, and unique project requirements. Will employ state-of-the-art solar design tools to design the most efficient and cost-effective solar project for our client. Our focus will be on understanding how to optimize energy production and system reliability. We will provide a comprehensive financial analysis for the project (estimating the solar payback period, return on investment, and how federal solar tax credit may impact them) and provide a development plan taking into consideration permitting requirements.
