Just to bring to the notice of the officials, our team (team 48 Manipal Institute of Technology) is also missing the 50 CubeSat bonus points even though, as far as we know and from our interaction with the judges, we should be eligible for the points. We would be very grateful for any clarification regarding the issue.
Hi I know that we messaged as well missing points for the efficient launch and CubeSAT bonuses. I am hopeful that the competition will be able to give us accurate results for our Universities, as teams suffer if they are not performing as well as we actually did.
We were told that we weren't on your list for the teams who were de-racked on Thursday afternoon, but we are on livestream de-racking and we spoke to the Director of Rules personally that day. This information was sent over when we heard, but we did not receive a response other than this post.
We are missing our apogee score, and our early flight bonus. We calculated that to be over 310 points. This would change our position from over 50th to 7th in our category. Is there anyone we can speak to about this - we spent a whole year, and a lot of money to attend being from the UK. This is our first year of formation, and the first year for the University of Leeds to attend SAC - if our scores are incorrectly finalised it would really be a shame.
It also says we have no main deployment; in the livestream there is even footage of our main deployment and whole recovery, so this is incorrect. It seems like our score has not been replaced after the data loss.
We can help however possible, we have footage of the recovery site, and also three different data records of the flight profile from our two flight computers and our development payload flight computer. We can also try speak to our certified flier from when we were in the US who witnessed our flight. (Plus we have an image of our flight sheet on the first day of the competition to validate our claim of readiness, and efficient launch bonus - we were scrubbed due to wind - also seen on the livestream).
If we are listed as coming near 50th in the competition, when in reality we performed to a top 10 level, hugely impacts our ability to continue to association at our university and gain recognition we require for funding and sponsorships. It also does not do justice the immense amount of work my team and myself put in, to found the association and then attend SAC in less than a year, place as Runners up in the Dr Gil Moore Innovation award, achieve full marks in the technical report, all to then to be incorrectly placed as our flight has not been recorded or scored...
