Cosmic Research is a university student association from Catalonia, Spain, focused on designing, bulding and launching suborbital rockets. Since its was founded in 2016, Cosmic Research has launched a total of 39 rockets.
On November 31, 2021, the association successfully launched the Bondar rocket at a height of 7.8 km, from the historic rocket launch base owned by the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) in Huelva, CEDEA. Bondar today maintains the apogee record achieved by Spanish students. Furthermore, this is considered the most powerful rocket in the history of Catalonia.
The association has extensive experience in the development and testing of solid rocket motors. In addition to the development of suborbital rockets intended for high altitudes, Cosmic Research provides minisatellite launch services for the European Space Agency's CanSat competitions in Spain.
Cosmic Research is a non-profit project, driven by the passion of its members and financed with public aid and private companies that act as sponsors.
