“I enjoy creating virtual realities with new technologies.”
Since 2006, I manage the University of North Dakota (UND) Computational Research Center (https://crc.und.edu/), which operates the Talon High Performance Computing system and the UND Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality Lab. Before 2006 I was the Computer Visualization Manager for the now-defunct Archaeology Technologies Lab at North Dakota State University (https://tinyurl.com/ndsu-archaeology).
The biggest things I have done in 3D are: masters thesis - 3D laser scanning of hominid endocasts, On-A-Slant Virtual Village stereoscopic movie (2004 - https://tinyurl.com/on-a-slant), RawKee X3D export plugin for Maya (http://rawkee.sourceforge.net/ ), animated reconstruction of a Neanderthal hand using Maya (Nature 2003), and ran a small indie video game company for 5 years called Flickertail Interactive.
