“Solving real-world challenges using robotics and AI for disaster response drives me to innovate.”
bio
I am a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering, specializing in advanced control systems and AI for robotics in disaster response. With expertise in robotics and autonomous systems, my work focuses on optimizing UAV and UGV platforms for challenging terrains. As a Research Assistant in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at Cranfield University, I have developed practical skills in designing and implementing real-world solutions for complex challenges. I hold an MSc in Autonomous Vehicle Dynamics and Control from Cranfield University, where I worked on multi-agent drone systems in my group project and focused my Individual Research Project on Railway Network Adaptive Teams of Autonomous Aerial and Ground Robotic Vehicle Situational Awareness Security Systems. Before this, I studied Mechatronics at Sabancı University in Türkiye. At the University of Bedfordshire, I designed a disaster response ground robotic vehicle for my graduation project, which earned me the 'Best Academic Contribution Award.' I am currently involved in the TerraGuardAI project, developing an advanced robotic system to assist first responders in disaster scenarios. My research aligns with my long-term goal of innovating in robotics for emergency and disaster response.
