Colonel (retired) Alika G. Watts is a disabled military Veteran with over 28 years of dedicated and selfless active and reserve service in the United States Army. Throughout his military career, Colonel Watts held several executive leadership positions in personnel, training, and logistics. Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant at the age of 19, he was an ordnance officer serving in various platoon, company, and battalion command and leadership positions as a logistic officer. As a young Major he took on the task to develop and build the first Regional Training Site Maintenance in the Pacific, which still operates today, providing thousands of soldiers annually hands on equipment maintenance and computer training to be current and proficient in supporting the needs of the Army on and off the battlefield. His last assignment was as the Senior Personnel Officer (G1) responsible for the deployment and redeployment of more than 3500 citizen soldiers into combat areas around the world. Upon retirement, he committed to helping Veterans cope with Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) and assist them and their families to maneuver through the Veteran Administration (VA) bureaucracy to ensure they receive their maximum benefits and compensation. As a Native Hawaiian, Alika searches for the best suitable sustainable solutions to implement in Hawaii for the betterment of Land, Water, Air and People. Alika seeks, and evaluates, worldwide technological solutions, which addresses the unique challenges the Hawaiian people encounter daily from living on an island in the middle of the Pacific. The people of Hawaii are dependent on over 90 percent of imports for food, fuel, energy, basic needs, and construction material for building homes just to name a few. Alika is the founder and owner of Watts Enterprises LLC, doing business as Eco4Life LLC, and Managing Member of Ho’oulu Holdings LLC. Born and raised in Hawaii, a proud Hawaiian, protective of his Hawaiian culture. Alika is the Executive Director of the “Hawaii Youth Challenge Foundation”, a non-profit organization, which supports Hawaii’s at-risk youths. Dedicated to the training of young adults and veterans in a variety of technical skills to include electric vehicle repair, solar, wind, and gasification power production. A major emphasis is placed on special training, education, development, and implementation of green sustainable solutions. Eco4Life LLC is a Hawaii based, native Hawaiian, veteran owned, company committed to provide state of the art, successfully proven, next generation technological advancements, to maximize community resources by increasing self-sustainability and decreasing reliance on external imports. Through its strategic alliances and partnerships, Ho’oulu Holdings utilizes proven, next-generation technologies in waste processing, air-quality control, gasification, and bio degeneration to produce an extremely clean, low-maintenance, low-overhead renewable fuel to be utilized in power generation systems, transportation, and farming equipment. By products of these processes are biochar, CO2 capture and utilization, distilled water for industry and agriculture. He is a graduate of The Kamehameha Schools. Received an Associate of Arts degree from The New Mexico Military Institute, a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Hawaii, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. He graduated from various military leadership courses throughout his career to include Command and General Staff College, Combined Arms and Services staff School, Human Resource Management Qualification, Ordnance Maintenance Management Basic and Advance Course, Logistics Management, Support Operations, Hazardous Materials, Risk Assessment Management, Investigation Officer, and Environmental Compliance Officer.
