I am a Lead R&D Engineer specialized in Smart Cities. I identify, strategize, and develop Big Data analytics and Smart Cities technology solutions to support intelligent infrastructure operation and business development for Smart Water and Power Grids. My multi-disciplinary specialization in civil infrastructure systems, artificial intelligence, and Big Data analytics has enabled me to integrate cloud-based data analytics platforms, infrastructure simulation models, and control schemes in support of Smart Cities initiatives.
I have played key roles in cross-functional teams consisting of water professionals, communication engineers, social scientists, cybersecurity experts, and software developers. I have secured $800,000 funding for Smart Water research and development initiatives. I have served in multiple academic and professional committees. I am currently the Chair of ASCE Task Committee on Cyber-physical Security of Water Distribution Systems. I have been the receptionist of the 2012 ASCE EWRI World Water Congress Best Student Paper Award, the 2013 ASCE Journal of WRPM Best Paper Award, and the NSF-CMMI Graduate Fellowship Award. I have given invited seminars and talks at Rice University, the University of Toronto, and several other institutions.
