Antonia Is a graduate Student at UC Berkeley FUNG Institute for Engineering. She invented Gismo Power during her New College of FLorida Independent Study Project (ISP) in 2020/2021 and was awarded the $10,000 OZY Genius Award for her work. Since then she has received an SBIR grant Phase I for commercialization. The Tampa Bay Business Journal listed her as one of the top 25 entrepreneurs under 25 in the region.
Antonia is also the sole founder of “New Crew SRQ - Cross College Alliance,” the first collegiate rowing club in Sarasota where three local colleges form one united team to train and compete. In high school, she served as Florida’s ambassador for the Tourette’s Association of America, and has never let her diagnosis stand in the way of her life goals. Just before she invented GismoPower, she was awarded the 2020 New College Office of Outreach and Inclusive Excellence Community Engagement Award.
