Camille is from Compton, CA where she attended Compton College and started advocacy work to help the college regain its accreditation. There she started her first Not-For-Profit Organization Tartar Marketplace aimed at addressing the restoration of the accreditation of Compton Community College while also fighting issues of community food insecurity. Camille was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for her work in the service of Compton College Students, and was later named the most improved faith based organizer by the Los Angeles Metropolitan Churches. Camille received community organizers training from the California Endowment Foundation and was a two time fellow of the Greenlining Economic Summit. She went on to attend California State University Dominguez Hills where she studied to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a focus on Marketing. Camille is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Little Growers Inc. in Brevard County, FL. When Camille’s home flooded during Hurricane Irma, she joined Anthropocene Alliance Higher Ground. Camille has been a member of the Leadership Council for Anthropocene Alliance since 2019. She is one of 22 grassroots leaders selected for the Sierra Club and Women’s Earth Alliance 2019 U.S. Grassroots Accelerator for Women Environmental Leaders. In 2020, Camille was invited back to Sierra Club and Women’s Earth Alliance to serve as a mentor to the 2020 U.S. Grassroots Accelerator for Women Environmental Leaders. Camille also serves as co-chair for the South Brevard NAACP Environmental Justice Committee.
