My name is Candace Still Smoking. I was born and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation. I am currently studying Environmental Science at the Blackfeet Community College in Browning Montana. My original goal was to get a degree in Fish and Wildlife but the pandemic hit when I was about to finish my first year of college and changed my educational journey from there. I will graduate with an associates degree in Environmental Science in spring 2025. I plan to hopefully find work here on the Blackfeet Reservation and keep going to school part time to get my bachelors degree. The projects I have worked on while being an intern at the USDA Extension program have really interested me. I like growing and managing growing different foods. I am hoping my interests lead me to some interesting employment opportunities after I graduate.
