Edward Eastlack is a Marine Engineering Professional and ambassador for sustainable energy solutions with a passion for new technologies that improve safety, reliability, efficiency and environmental impact of marine assets. Edward has extensive experience and education in all aspects of ship operations, maintenance, repair, construction and classification. Edward is an active member of the global maritime community and an advocate of new technologies that provide viable solutions to ship owners around the globe. Edward began his career as a licensed Marine Engineer sailing aboard a wide range of government and commercial vessels as a senior engineering officer (Diesel, Steam and Gas Turbine). Edward came ashore after ten years of sailing and spent another ten years taking on progressively sophisticated marine projects for existing vessels associated with improving reliability, eliminating obsolescence, ensuring environmental compliance and capital improvement. Projects included marine engine re-power, overhaul, repair, retrofits and warranty replacement. Edward has also been responsible for the construction oversight of numerous new build vessel projects. Edward is also an accomplished technical writer, presenter and industry thought leader in the marine technology arena. Edward has leveraged his education, training and twenty plus years of maritime industry experience to provide unparalleled marine technical consulting to industry stakeholders. Mr. Eastlack enjoys participation in many different professional groups to include the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Various Maritime Committees and United States Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association. Eastlack holds both Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point New York.
