Fernando Amar is the co-founder and CEO of Sien Inc, a California Benefit Corporation that develops community solar + storage projects in the Central Valley in California. Fernando is an MBA in sustainability professional who has been working for the past 4 years to help manage the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing program. SOMAH is a 1-billion-dollar program from California, where Fernando provides technical assistance feasibility reports, data analysis and is leading the development of a fleet monitoring software to track approximately 2,000 PV systems that would total about 300MW AC. Fernando has also led the development of a solar + storage microgrid system for a health clinic at the Arhuaco native community in Colombia. The clinic offers emergency, dental, vaccination and pre-natal services to a community of about 3,000 people. With 20 years of experience as an Industrial Designer, Fernando lead the development of numerous patented retail products.
