About Global Entrepreneurship Movement (GEM) GEM serves as a Non-Governmental-Organisation that is also not for profit. The brainchild of its patron, YBhg. Tan Sri Dr. Mohd. Irwan Serigar Abdullah, the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance in Malaysia, GEM is steered by a dedicated team of industry leaders, each with prolific achievements in their respective fields of work. With the spirit of Democratising Entrepreneurship, GEM aims to achieve its mission by strategically aligning the various entrepreneurs’ communities with all current entrepreneurial initiatives by both private sector and public agencies – collaborating, connecting and celebrating entrepreneurship. GEM aspires to build, promote, internationalize and connect the global entrepreneurship ecosystem which includes investment sectors, business angels, private equity firms, venture capitalists and the likes.
