bio
Impassioned by her love for the environment and a vision of a sustainable future, Heather secured her B.S. in Environmental Engineering at UCSD. As her career progressed, she evolved from environmental consulting in the private industry to Energy Manager at Naval Base Coronado with the Department of Defense. Most recently, Heather managed utility-scale renewable energy projects as a Project Manager for Revamp Engineering Inc., a burgeoning solar design firm that has garnered attention as Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 10 Solar Design Firms and Forbes 500 Fastest Growing Companies. As a visionary with sustained commitment, Heather has committed to closing the loop on the sustainability of solar power. At the intersection of purpose and passion, Heather founded Renew Solar, a company that expands access to solar power and clean energy through recovered, restored, and rejuvenated secondhand panels. A fateful run-in at RE+ Community Solar Conference has led Ryan and Heather to co-found Bhakti Community Solar. With a shared vision of leading a life of service, Bhakti offers the community an engaging and purpose driven solution to green and clean energy for all.
