Having earned a BA in Creative Writing and an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction and Counselling Psychology from UBC, Jada is currently completing her Canada-wide professional counselling certifications CPCA and ACCT. Much of the knowledge that Jada draws upon is respectfully carried forward from the generous traditional teachings of Elders, Community members, and valued mentors. A single mother to a fantastic nine-year-old daughter, a proud community member, an advocate for youth and Indigenous people, Jada is also an emerging mixed media artist who leads restorative art retreats. She lives in a brown house in East Vancouver where she paints in a little garden studio, putters in her overgrown garden while being followed about by her two ridiculously cute pit bulls, Stuart and Sylvia. She takes care to walk gently in the world
