Jenniffer Pérez Pérez is a marine biologist with interest in coastal ecosystems and ocean monitoring. She is a fellow at NOAA’s Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing at the University of Puerto Rico, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in Biological Oceanography. Her research focuses on monitoring massive, seasonal Sargassum accumulation on the fringing mangrove ecosystem in southwestern Puerto Rico using in-situ and satellite observations.
