John Fox is the Solar Development Manager at Enterprise Community Development. At ECD, he manages the development of renewable energy assets at Enterprise’s portfolio of properties to reduce the company’s energy footprint and provide direct energy savings to Enterprise’s residents. Prior to joining Enterprise in October 2021, John spent more than 20 years in renewable energy and alternative fuel development projects at multiple companies operating in North America and Europe. John is a lifelong renewable energy and fuels advocate and enthusiast. He has developed nearly 5 MW of distributed renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass) projects, built three companies that sold more than 30 million gallons of biodiesel, and created three new product offerings for commercial properties installing electric vehicle charging equipment. Since 2019, John has focused his time on the emerging electrification trends, specifically developing renewable energy and storage solutions (both on- and off-grid) to power multi-unit complexes while also electrifying building-specific systems and providing on-site electric vehicle charging services. John received an MBA from Columbia Business School and his BA from Syracuse University. In his free time, John enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife, daughter and dogs, whether on foot, on skis or in a boat.
