1972 Started SunPower Builders 1974 Built first Solar House – have designed and built many in the area since 1972 Founding member Phila. Solar Energy Society 1994 Installed battery PV for researchers in Botswana 1998 Installed SpB’s first USA PV System 1998 Restored to “original” 1754 Henry Melchior Muhlenberg house (now Museum, Trappe Pa. 1999 Board of Directors, NESEA 2008 Penn Futures Solar Pioneer Award 2010 Designed first Solar Farm in Pa. 2010 Served on Governors Clean Energy Panel 2011 My daughter founded SunPower Afrique non-profit to train Solar Technician in Togo west Africa. I was the CEO and lead 3 weeks of classroom training and oversaw them installing solar systems we donated to microfinance banks there. 2012 Started Serving on Carrier Advisory Board for Chester County Vocational Technical Highschool and College 2013 Board of Directors Smart Energy Initiative 2014-17 Served on Advisory Board for Codes and Standards UL 1741 for Inverters, Controllers, Interconnection System Equipment for Distributed Energy 2024 Still at it: Designing, and installing solar energy systems, designing and building solar homes and restoring Pa. farmhouses (18th century passive solar builings)
