Lauren is a PhD candidate in nutrition at Oregon State University with an interest in harmonizing dietary survey data to understand nutrition impacts on health. She currently serves as one of the primary curators for the Environmental Conditions, Treatments, and Exposures Ontology, which is intended to standardize language used around environmental exposures. This effort is part of the larger Monarch Initiative project which is an integrative data and analytic platform for connecting genotypes, phenotypes, diseases, and more. She is a passionate collaborator, working with a variety of individuals from across the globe on projects related to ontologies, electronic health records, and COVID-19.
