An aspiring change-maker, Locher Grove is convinced that small ideas can lead to great outcomes. Locher is excited to be competing in the XPrize Visioneers challenge, and he hopes his idea can make a significant difference in communities throughout the country. Graduating from the University of Virginia in three years with a degree in Foreign Affairs and a minor in Religious Studies, Locher will exit the University after four years following the completion of his Masters in Public Policy at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy this spring. For his Masters Capstone Project, Locher is currently serving as a consultant for Acadia National Park, developing a policy solution to reduce their nighttime lighting levels. In addition, Locher is serving as the Managing Director of the Batten School’s Virginia Policy Review. Locher is proud to be an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia and to have served as a member of the university’s Student Council, Echols’ Council, Sigma Chi Fraternity, Madison House Volunteer Association, and Musicians on Call Volunteer Association.
