Max Fung is a Mechanical Engineering student at Loyola Marymount University. He was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, California. Focused on art and music, and disinterested in academics during high school, Max rediscovered a love for the sciences during his time at community college through evolutionary anthropology, the writings of Richard Dawkins, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s revamped Cosmos series. Following in the undergraduate footsteps of Elon Musk, he transferred to LMU for Business Entrepreneurship with a minor in Physics but switched to Mechanical Engineering after realizing that he wanted to make his way into the world of tech with an engineering background. During his time interning at Aerojet Rocketdyne, he discovered a passion for computer science and software engineering. He is interested in renewable energies, programming, artificial intelligence, transportation infrastructure, cars, rockets, art, music production, fashion, and sneakers.
