Michael S. Uhl is a systems thinker. He is an energy engineer with over 14 years of experience working in environmental sustainability, energy consulting, and project management. He provides a unique and qualified clean energy strategy and solution to address customer goals. He meets a holistic vision with a roadmap that optimizes available opportunities, prepares for future projects when economics and technology are suitable, and incorporates the experience of executed projects. His career is built upon high-profile engagements, collaborating in cross-functional teams of subject matter experts since 2006. Mr. Uhl has more than a dozen years of experience as a Certified Energy and Demand Side Manager and LEED Accredited Professional (O&M). In his primary roles, he a) provides smarter residential property management and deep energy retrofits for long term value in the shared, circular economy, and b) develops and designs microgrid projects in North America with energy auditing, engineering, consulting, and financing. He served clients like the National Park Service, AT&T, Hitachi America, IBM, NBC Universal, and Indian Health Services. He provided energy assessments and sustainable solutions to federal and commercial clients in more than six million square feet of space. He designed and modeled 100+ microgrids across North America. He reduced energy consumption and environmental impact to achieve measurable cost savings, while building rich customer relationships. Mr. Uhl is eager to resolve complex issues, identify a clear path to opportunities, and realize a new energy future. Mr. Uhl earned recognition in 2014 with the Honorable Mention Award in the Eco-Products category for Energy Solutions with AT&T and in 2013 as the Grand Prize Winner of the Hitachi Global Social Innovation Contest, competing against 120 teams, presenting the opportunity for microgrid deployment to increase independence, efficiency, and sustainability in local utility grids across major markets.
