Dr. Mohamed Khalafalla Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Engineering Technology at Florida A&M University, a prominent HBCU. Specializing in risk analysis, cost estimating, and alternative project delivery for construction and infrastructure projects, Dr. Khalafalla brings significant expertise and unique perspectives to the clean energy field. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, a Master's in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, an MBA from the University of Khartoum, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Law at Northwestern University, due in 2024. Recently, Dr. Khalafalla was part of an energy efficiency and clean energy workshop at Stanford University. This has further bolstered his commitment to incorporate clean energy teaching materials in all his classes, notably in the materials and methods of construction course. His interdisciplinary approach aims to engage students with clean energy topics, foster cross-university collaborations, and bridge the gap between academia and industry partners. With over three years of industry experience and substantial academic contributions, Dr. Khalafalla is well-positioned to inspire the next generation of clean energy experts.
