I am a UT Austin biology professor. My discipline is plant molecular biology, encompassing both research on land plants and marine unicellular algae. My research interests have mostly concerned photosynthetic eukaryotes mechanisms for resistance to diverse stresses such as drought, pathogens, and, in the case of marine algae, herbivores.
