bio
Nate studied Design at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. In parallel with his time at academia he worked at a small print shop, known as The Printing Plant. There he acted as Assistant Print Designer to a master multi-media designer named Jason Buehner. At that same time, Nate volunteered to tutor fellow classmates in javascript, CSS, HTML, and Flash in a Computer Graphics course led by Professor Mark Pease. After a severe storm struck the community Nate decided to move he and his family to San Diego, CA for the weather. From there, he caught the Silicon Valley Start Up bug, and became entrenched in web design ensuring to stir things up by injecting the very user-centered design principles and methodologies he'd learned at SIUC. Today, Nate works from home, acting as Lead UX/UI Designer for HeroX. Occasionally, you might spot him frequenting a local coffee shop conducting user testing. Keep on the look out.
