Padma Kasthurirangan (She/her), founder of BRI is a University at Buffalo alumna. After graduating with a master’s in electrical engineering from UB, Padma started her career as an engineering intern at NWS, a local startup that focused on small wind installations up to 50 kW. Over the next few years, the company grew with Padma to offer solar PV and hybrid solutions up to 100 kW. Building on that, BRI now develops projects up to 5 MW. She has helped local communities write or modify their zoning for wind projects to allow for increased deployment of responsible systems. A national expert on DW permitting and interconnection, Padma participates actively in national lab efforts to advance the industry.
