Sam Ruderman has seven years of experience in the environmental sustainability field and has worked across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, giving him a holistic and comprehensive perspective on the industry. Sam specializes in building energy efficiency and has managed and implemented programs serving residential, commercial, and public customers. Through these experiences, Sam has become intimately familiar with both the challenges and opportunities building owners face to improve energy efficiency, advance electrification, enhance building quality and comfort, and reduce energy cost burdens. His passion for the industry stems from an early-career realization of the power of energy efficiency in addressing climate change while providing a variety of social and economic co-benefits. Sam also has extensive experience developing climate action and adaption plans, which lends to his understanding of the vital importance of addressing building energy usage. Sam holds a B.Sc. in Renewable Resource Management from McGill University, and he currently serves on the boards of the Sierra Nevada Alliance and Climate Action Guide.
