The Sugar Science (https://thesugarscience.org/ ) is a less than 2 year old digital platform aimed at helping scientists who study type 1 diabetes connect and collaborate. Currently, our all volunteer team reaches 30K scientists via podcast, video interviews, consortia and data driven challenges. Dr Westley is a Yale trained Cell and Molecular Biologist. She is an experienced Professor, voted Faculty Member of the Year 2019 by the students at MCU. Deeply passionate about the science of of type 1 diabetes and Founder of the(sugar)science, she has been called a "skilled networker, collaborating with thought leaders to advance science in Type 1 diabetes".
