Touria El-Mezyani obtained her Ph.D. in Automatic Control and Computer Engineering from Lille University of Science and Technology, France. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department, School of Engineering/University of North Florida. Previously, she was a research faculty with the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University and a research associate, respectively, at the School of Computational Science and the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University. Dr. El Mezyani has authored/co-authored conference papers and journal articles on different aspects of large power systems, microgrids, and renewable energy. Her research focuses on smart grid applications with high penetration of distributed renewable energy resources, which include machine learning-based prediction and analysis, cyber-physical systems security, distributed optimization and control, and stability analysis.
