Vivek Shinde Patil is the President of Appalachian Renewal Technologies. Vivek has nearly 20 years of experience in the technology sector as a scientist and entrepreneur, managing global teams and leading business engagement on numerous technology projects and product development across different verticals. He previously raised $5 million in venture capital funding for Lucerna Bio Inc. and successfully navigated the startup’s exit in 2011. His second Appalchia-based startup Medentum Innovations has raised over $4 million and is commercializing digital health technologies in rural US markets. Vivek is extremely passionate about rural economic transformation and has been involved in transitioning and diversifying Appalachia-based coal-focused companies into energy storage and electrification focused manufacturing bases. He brings business development, fundraising, project management and operational expertise to the team.
