Overview of Challenge Structure

  1. Proposal Phase: ALL innovators who submit by the October 14th deadline are eligible to enter the Claims Testing which begins on November 7. There will be no elimination in this phase.
  2. Fact Checking Speed Test: Innovators will test their automated fact checking solution in real time. Claims will be released at pre-determined times on HeroX.com. The fastest teams who achieve 80% accuracy will proceed to the validation phase.
  3. Validation Phase: Finalists from the speed test must prove automation of their results to win.

  1. There will be no elimination after the proposal phase. ALL innovators who enter the proposal phase can compete in the Fact Checking Speed Test.
  2. Added definitions to the Truth Ratings

  4. Added mechanisms to facilitate collaboration: each innovator/team creates a Public Profile in ther Proposal Phase submission form. After the submission deadline, innovators have three weeks to leverage the collective expertise of the community, form teams and further develop their solution prior to the Fact Checking Speed Test.
