While the Fast & Furious Fact-Check Challenge aims to eliminate the cumbersome, over-burdened process of human fact-checking, we can still take note of the amazing dedication of individuals around the world committed to justice in information. One example of late is the Latam Chequea -- a regional meeting of Latin American fact-checking organizations to share ideas, methods, solidarity, and hope for the future of authenticated information.
The most recent Latam Chequea saw attendees from as far away as Africa, Europe, and North America. This year, the event was followed by a truly international affair in the same location (Buenos Aires) the Global Fact 3, the third global fact-checking summit.
