Telemedicine Network, equipment and Continuing Medical Education services for clinics and County Health Care in Ventura County, CA. 14 clinics and 3 Hospitals networked. 2007 - 2010 – Ventura County First 5 and the Ventura Pediatric Diagnostic Center – telemedicine, family wellness resources for low-income, underserved residents and Continuing Medical Education and telemedicine video development grant. Nurses, PA’s and Doctors Diagnostic Telemedicine skills training. Introduction of Telemedicine to low income housing sites. 2003-2006 – Project Director - US Department of Agriculture distance learning and telemedicine grant project linking 150 rural communities in the United States. Project involved set up of rural technology hubs, telemedicine training and Continuing Medical Education for rural Health Clinic staff, and rural community economic development. Focus on rural patient engagement in use of telemedicine to improve outcomes with chronic, long term care patients. 2003-2004 - Principle Investigator – US Geological Survey – GIS data mapping for telemedicine in rural areas. 2002-2005 – California Telehealth and eHealth Center, UC Davis – providing Physician and Nurse Technology / Telemedicine Skills training workshops and Telemedicine Technology Skills web site development. 2000-2002 – US Department of Agriculture distance learning and telemedicine project serving 24 rural communities in California. 2000-2002 – Department of Defense Electronic Commerce Resource Center, California. Program Director and Lead State Program Coordinator, California. 1999 - 2000 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development CYFAR (Children, Youth and Families at Risk) Project in partnership with the University of California, the Santa Barbara Housing Authority and the USDA. Program Director. 1998-1999 – US Department of Agriculture distance learning and Telemedicine award linking 16 rural communities and clinics in Central California with new community based telecommunications hubs, technology literacy skills training, rural economic development startup programs and telemedicine hub setup and training for physicians and nurses.
